you are not an elder brother to your siblings, (He went to against his brothers , The pandavas)

SUBRAMANYA BHARATHI[Bharathi] Nirpathuve nadapathuve parapathuve…

Wow, I feel so awed by these lines, these lines questions the validity of our perceptions/views/ beliefs/thoughts about this world… brilliance is one word which sums it! do pay attention to each word ( can be interpreted in multiple ways, this is my interpretation).
Movie: Bharathi
Poet: Subramanya Bharathi
Singer: Harish Raghavendra
Music: Ilayaraaja
Song Sequence: (1)-(1)-(2)-(3)-(3)-(4)-(1)-(5)-(5)-(6)
(1)Nirpathuve nadapathuve parapathuve,
neengalellam soppanam thaano,
pala thotra mayakangalo,
what ever I perceive as standing (still), walking and flying around me,
are all of these just my dreams?
are they mere illusions that my thoughts make me beleive of this world?
(2)karpadhuve ketpadhuve karudhuvadhe,
neengalellam arpa maayaygalo,
ummul aalndha porul illaiyo,
what ever I learn, I hear , I imagine,
are all these petty illusions?
don’t all these thing have a deeper meaning/significance?
(3)vaanakame ilaveyile maracharive,
neengalellam kaanalin neero,
verum kaatchi pilai thaano,
The sky, the first rays of sunlight, the trees along slopes,
are all of you merely a mirage?
are these just a result of my erroneous view?
(4)ponathellam kanavinaipol,
puthainthelinthe ponathanaal,
naanum or kanavo,
intha gnalamum poi thaano,
whatever went (was lost) seems like a dream,
seems like all was buried in the past,
similarly am I also just a dream ( I will also be gone/forgotten one day),
isn’t this universe ( can also be interpreted as knowledge) a false entity?
(5)kaalam endre oru ninaivum,
kaatchi endre pala ninaivum,
kolamum poygalo,
angu gungalum poygalo,
The thought we perceive as time,
The multiple thoughts that arise due to our power of vision (of the space around us),
are all these forms (appearances) mere lies?
there, what we perceive as characters(qualities of a person), aren’t these too lies?
(6)kaanpadhellam maraiyum endraal,
maraindhadhellam kaanbamandro,
naanum or kanavo,
intha gnalamum poy thaano.
if it is true that, what ever we see today will vanish eventually,
would we ever be able to see that which vanished? ( isn’t this a paradox)
am I just a dream,
isn’t this universe ( can also be interpreted as knowledge) a false entity?

these feelings have made my heart their home, In order to kill and permanently remove them from my heart,
(4)than seyal enni thavipadhu theerndhingu,
nin seyal seydhu niraivuperum vannam,
Let my quest (suffering) end here for what I deem as my tasks (leads to excessive pride/resentment due to the attachment we develop to things),
instead I will do (them as) your tasks (what you have destined for me), and attain fulfillment,
(5)thunbam ini illai, sorvillai, sorvillai, thorpillai
nalladhu theeyadhu naam ariyom, naam ariyom ,naam ariyom
anbu neriyil arangal valarthida,
nalladhu nattuga, theemaiyai ottuga
There will be no more sorrow, no more exhaustion(desperation), no more defeats,
I don’t know to differentiate the good and the bad (evil), I don’t know , I don’t know,
let morality (righteousness) grow in  me by means of love,
please ensure that the good prevails and the evil perishes

would the creator(of the veena) throw it in dirt to spoil (in negligence),
(2)solladi sivasakthi,
ennai chudarmigum arivudan padaithuvittaai,

thasaiyinai theechudinum,
siva sakthiyai paadum nallagam ketten,
asaivuru madhi ketten,
ivai arulvadhil unakkedhum thadaiyuladho.
Just like a ball with force (speed),
let my body be so strong and nimble that it can accomplish anything that my mind directs it to,
I ask for a mind that has no desires (untarnished),
I ask for a soul that constantly emanates new light (renewed positive energy) (like a gem),
even if my materialistic body is engulfed by fire (death),
give me the longevity to keep on singing your praise, my goddess,
I ask for unshakable wisdom,
(Oh goddess) All that I ask you, I hope you don’t have a problem is granting it to me!
