The first few paragraphs remind me of what is happening in India now with all the corruption issue, especially down south  ( seems like nothing has changed from 50 years back, the song still holds so much relevance!), This song is in the hope for better leaders and a better India

for how long will these people (politicians, bureaucrats) cheat us in this country,
in our own country, in our country,

All of them act as though they don’t deter from the path of truth,
but they all look for the right time (opportunity) and loot in various(novel) ways,

they put on false acts as a disciple,
and they cheat the common people but get them entangled in their cruel web,

Let us build schools in every street,
and make sure there is no one is uneducated,

with focus (ideal), lets learn many skills (jobs),
let there be no hunger(poverty) in the society,

lets us ask more questions , and combine it with knowledge and move ahead
